To the entrepreneurial physiotherapists of Atlantic Canada;
In 2015 the Dalhousie University School of Physiotherapy will celebrate its 50th Anniversary. This celebration will culminate in an anniversary weekend (October 2-5, 2015) recognizing five decades of physiotherapy alumni. More than 1000 alumni, current and former faculty and staff, students and friends are invited to participate in this special celebration.
The School of Physiotherapy’s vision is to be “a premiere school for physiotherapists who excel in practice, research and professional matters.” The fulfillment of this vision happens when our students leave our classrooms and enter into the profession – a profession that has changed significantly in the time since our first class graduated in 1965. Each year more and more of our graduates enter into private practice, engaging in innovative business models that elevate the profile of physiotherapy practice, and in turn help us to achieve our vision.
In recognition of our shared commitment to the physiotherapy profession, and in celebration of how far we’ve come these past five decades, we are thrilled to invite Atlantic Canadian private practices to become official sponsors of our anniversary weekend!
As a 2015 Sponsor, your practice will be supporting a series of very special events attended by hundreds of physiotherapy students and alumni. The weekend activities include a public lecture and Meet & Greet event (Friday), continuing education courses and our keystone gala event (Saturday), and School tours (Sunday).
Sponsorship levels range from Community Friends ($500) to the exclusive Platinum Partner ($7500), with several levels in between. Each level of support receives a corresponding level of advertisement leading up to, and throughout the anniversary weekend. In addition, contributions received over and above event costs will go directly towards the School’s 2015 Scholarship Fund, supporting merit scholarships and financial aid bursaries for students in our graduate programs. Therefore support for this event will impact not only the last 50 years of physiotherapy graduates, but potentially the next 50 as well.
