By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the pathophysiology of cancer, its treatments and potential side effects
- Understand how cancer related impairments affect cancer survivors’ function
- Describe the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence supporting the use of exercise for people with cancer
- Apply strategies to help improve quality of life for people experiencing functional deficits including exercise prescription
- Demonstrate understanding of safety considerations relevant to rehabilitation of people with cancer
- Relate to the challenges of rehabilitating people with cancer in the community and acute care settings
