What to expect from the course?
- There are numerous factors that influence chronic pain. This course will distill best evidence for chronic pain management into segments that can be integrated into a busy practice.
- Participants will understand fundamental principles of chronic pain management.
- Participants will learn about assessment strategies to identify complex pain – specifically psychosocial screening, recognizing ‘sensitization’ and activity tolerance.
- Participants will learn management strategies related to communication, facilitating self-efficacy, graded activity and exposure, and dealing with flare-ups.
